My dog, Titus, was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus in October 2006. Almost all of the pigment in his nose and spots around his eyes had turned from black to pink. His nose was also peeling, cracking, and bleeding. The veterinarian put him on a topical steroid cream that we had to administer twice a day to his nose. She told us that this could spread to the rest of his face as well as the pads on his paws. We also had to keep him out of the sun, which means our active outdoor-loving dog had to be kept inside all day while my husband and I were away at work. We noticed a little improvement in his nose after 2 months of using the steroid cream, but he still had spots of cracking and peeling.
In January 2007, we laid an earthing pad on his bed. He took to it right away. We noticed within a month that his nose drastically improved. The black pigment started returning and there was NO cracking or peeling. We went out of town for a long weekend and left him with relatives, but did not send his earthing pad. When we returned to pick him up after only 3 days, his poor nose was again cracked and bleeding. They administered his medicine as instructed and kept him out of the sun. The only thing different was that he was not connected to the earth via his earthing pad. His only contact with the earth was when they let him outside to go to the bathroom. Within 5 days of being home and sleeping on his earthing pad, his nose cleared up and the black pigment started to return again.
Today, almost two years later, Titus is no longer on daily steroid cream and he is able to spend almost as much time in the sun as he pleases. Occasionally, if he is in the sun too long or away from his earthing pad, he will have a flare up where his nose will peel a bit. We use the steroid cream for a few days and make sure he is earthed and his nose clears right up. As long as we keep him earthed while lounging in the house, even while at a relative's house, he can remain almost medicine free and without the pain of a peeling nose.

I love my German Shepherd mix Moti and was devastated when he started limping really bad and the vet told me that he had a 'typical German Shepherd hip deterioration' and that surgery was the only way to give him relieve from the pain he was experiencing.
While I was weighing the $1,200 the surgery would cost and the ordial 12 year old Moti would have to go through, against alternative treatments, I had the idea to try out my old 'sleeping earthed pad' (I had recently purchased the newer version for myself - I love my pad and would not be without it ever again) and put it on the floor for Moti to sleep on.
He rather quickly took to the pad and stopped sleeping elsewhere. He must have noticed that this spot gave him relieve from his pain. After only 1 week, I noticed that he was limping less. Now, after approx. 1 month, he is back to his old self - no limping. The vet was floored when I brought him in. She could not belief the change from very bad right hip to no symptoms at all.
Thank you EarthFX for the 'Sleeping Earthed Pad' for me and my dog. I can't wait for your up-coming 'Pet Pad'.
